Multivitamins are now a part of our lives. In capsule or film tablet form, we encounter them almost everywhere. When you open one and look at what spills out, it feels as if all the geographies of the world have gathered in a single place.

Ingredients from the mountains of Asia, the vineyards of Africa, the forests of America, and the layers of the ocean... A single multivitamin capsule contains around sixty different chemicals. Of course, some of these components may have benefits.

However, using these capsules—produced by the millions—without running tests, without consulting a physician, and without knowing your actual needs is not the right approach. Instead of taking these mixtures with impressive names and complex contents at random, choosing single, paired, or simpler vitamins is a much healthier option.

The best approach is to learn which vitamins you actually need by consulting your physician, and to use only those supplements that address that specific deficiency.
